ICOE 2014 Halifax

Date: 04-06 November 2014
Venue: Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada

The 5th International Conference on Ocean Energy (ICOE) was hosted by Marine Renewables Canada in partnership with the Government of Canada, Government of Nova Scotia and Offshore Energy Research Association.

The Ocean Energy Systems Implementing Agreement (OES) supported this event again this year and developed a dedicated website which contains information about the past ICOE events, including over 400 published papers.

ICOE is the largest marine energy event focused on the industrial development of wave and tidal energy. The goal of the conference and exhibition is to share recent experiences from international research and demonstration actions.

Some interesting statistics of the event:
• 920 delegates attended
• 170 industry leading attendees
• 50% of attendees at senior level management and above
• 46 speakers
• 25 countries were represented

All papers from this conference are available in the library.

The OES is organised under the auspices of the International Energy Agency (IEA) but is functionally and legally autonomous. Views, findings and publications of the OES do not necessarily represent the views or policies of the IEA Secretariat or its individual member countries.
